Today is so bittersweet. I absolutely loved this trip, the experience, and memories it has left me. It saddens me to think that we couldn’t do more for each of the communities we served, but I am so grateful to be going home and sleeping in my own bed! I do believe I could go on for hours and hours rambling about this trip; it was my first time outside the United States, so Panama will always hold a special place in my heart. This experience has taught me quite a lot about myself, and what I would like to do with my future. Before this trip, I always considered becoming a traveling Nurse upon graduation, but I was always leery about the decision because I was anxious about leaving the USA. However, after this trip, I know I could do it. Panama has opened my eyes to those that cannot help themselves, having this knowledge makes me extremely sad, but it has also motivated me to be more gracious with my life; to not take things for granted in my own life. And lastly, it’s motivated me to follow my dreams; to not be discouraged about helping those in need. Bye, Panama, thanks for the amazing memories!
ONLY CRYING A LITTLE BIT. SERIOUSLY GOING TO MISS EVERYTHING. UNTIL NEXT TIME PANAMA.
